When Eleanor Roosevelt was young her mother Anna Rebbecca Livingstone Ludlow Hall Roosevelt died. Now, Eleanor Roosevelt only had her father and her younger brothers, and that was it.
Eleanor Roosevelt's father Elliot Roosevelt sometimes went on long journeys everywhere. Eleanor Roosevelt always wanted to go with her father on his journeys.
Elliot Roosevelt went on a lot of journeys, because he had a disease and he was trying to look for a cure for his illness.
Eleanor Roosevelt lived with her Grandmother Hall, she lived with her because her father was constantly on trips so Eleanor and her siblings lived with their Grandmother Hall.
Mrs. Hall owned a very large mansion.
When Eleanor's father Elliot Roosevelt finally came home one day he took her to see a shelter he volunteered at. There were people who stayed there because they didn't have any homes, some because they were poor and needed to rest, Eleanor's father Elliot also volunteered at a place called children aid it was for children who were sick, had no family, and no homes.
